Personal Narrative My Furry Friends - 1254 Words

My Furry Friends As I’m sitting at my desk trying to think of an interesting aspect in my life that could fill more than three sentences, I hear my father scream. â€Å"THEY TOOK MY SANDWICH, MY PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICH!† At this point it s not as much of a yell but more of a disappointed plead like he was devastated by the loss of his dinner. Then it went back to yelling. â€Å"WHICH OF YOU DID IT. I CAN T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE HEIDI!† â€Å"Well...you did leave it on the counter,† my brother said. â€Å"You can’t leave food on the counter!† I tried to laugh but honestly I felt his pain. You might think, wow this guy is crazy, or he s overreacting but believe me anyone would get frustrated with two dogs always stealing your dinner. Husker has an interesting personality to say the least. He is a troublemaker who does not listen, he s unintelligent, and very stubborn. But he also is super sweet, extremely friendly, and impossibly cute. He has done very many stupid things like this weekend we were driving home from Cape Cod and he somehow fell dead asleep standing up. I was petting him and when his head was leaning against my hand, he fell asleep. Gently placing his head on the armrest, I expected him to wake up but nope he was sound asleep, standing! I wondered how that was even possible when he had his dog bed about a foot away from him. Another time, he was in the backyard and saw the huge german shepard in his backyard behind ours. Husker wanted to play so he decided to run over into this huge, intimidating animals territory. The dog attacked him, leaving a scar on his stomach. Finally we got Husker back into our yard but he ran over again. You would think by the time you got scarred, you would learn your less on but no, he was so excited to have someone to play with he ran over a second time. Luckily, he didn’t get mauled to death, which could’ve easily happened. I could go on with stories of his adventures but I have a whole other dog to share about. Taffy is the second one who was also a miracle.
